We understand that the cost of living can put extra pressure on families at different times. If you or your child would benefit from some additional support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Our Support with the Cost of Living Form is available to any pupil who may benefit from additional support. It is not means tested, and you do not need to be receiving benefits or meet a particular income threshold to apply.
Support may be available with items such as:
School uniform and other essential school items
Toiletries and personal care products
Store goods and other essential items
If you feel that your family could benefit, please complete our Support with the Cost of Living Form. There is no need to feel embarrassed about asking for support, circumstances can change for any family, and we are here to help where we can.

There are also a number of organisations and services within our local community that can provide support to families. We have included links below to some useful resources, including our local social supermarket and food bank.

Free School Meals: Free school meals - Aberdeenshire Council
Social Supermarket: Social Supermarket | Restart Social Supermarket
Food Bank: The local food bank operates through a referral process. If you or your family require support from the food bank, a referral can be made by a number of professionals, including your school, health visitor, GP/doctor, social work or other support services. If you feel that you may benefit from food bank support, please speak to a member of our school team and we will be happy to help you understand the referral process.

From time to time, we are also fortunate to receive additional support and opportunities from organisations within our community. For example, Stella's Voice and Abernecessities have supported our families by providing opportunities to access items such as bikes, mattresses and other essential goods.

If you are unsure which service may be right for you, please speak to a member of our Wellbeing Hub team within school. We will always do our best to listen, support you and signpost you to the service that is most appropriate for your family's needs.
