We offer the following courses across the Faculty:
S1 - 1 Period per week
S2 - 2 Periods per week
S3 - 3 Periods per week
National 3/4/5 - 4 Periods per week.
Higher/Adv Higher - 5 Periods per week
NPA Photography - 4/5 Periods per week (only open to S5/6)
The Art Department consists of three large open plan rooms. There is a Kiln for clay work; printmaking equipment; photography materials; and the department makes use of a wide range of materials for both Expressive work and Design work.
S2 - 1 Period per week. Pupils will cover units of work across the Technical Curriculum (Woodwork, Graphics and Engineering).
S3 - 3 Periods per week. Students can choose to study courses in Engineering Science, Practical Craft Skills or Graphic Communication.
National 4/5 - 4 Periods per week. Students can choose to study courses in Engineering Science, Practical Woodwork or Graphic Communication
Higher - 5 Periods per week. Students can choose to study courses in Graphic Communication or Engineering Science.
The Technical Department consists of Two Workshops (One Woodwork and One Multi-Purpose), and two Graphics Rooms each with 20xPCs. The Workshops both have access to a range of Woodworking and Metalworking Tools and Machines. We also have a range of Engineering Equipment for students studying Engineering Science (such as Pneumatics Training Equipment).
